JUBILEE SERVICE DAY
Come Join us for Jubilee Service Day on Saturday August 29, 2026 from 8am-12pm!
Come alongside Eastside churches, businesses, organizations & community members in serving the community as one body by responding to the command to love our neighbors. Support public schools by working with teachers, staff, and administrators to prepare the classrooms & schools for the new school year.
“Thank you for loving our staff. It is so good for our souls.”
“I feel like so much more than a volunteer. I’m also getting served by serving. ”
More Information:

Jubilee Service Day is an annual event in August that brings together people in the Eastside community to serve at local public schools. Started in 2005 with one church serving at one school, this day has grown to involve over 1200 volunteers, at 23 schools. The home site service previously on Service Day has grown to become its own program, “Jubilee in the Community” with community volunteers serving at over 100 homes throughout the year. In 2026 there will be no home site service on Service Day. For further information about Jubilee in the Community contact jsd@jubileereach.org.

Volunteers work with staff to do such things as: curriculum assembly, classroom organizing, arranging bookshelves, general cleaning, decorating, hanging things on walls, closet/cupboard organizing, and more. At most of the schools, there will also be outdoor work for those that prefer such tasks.
-
Yes! We encourage families to serve together. Children 12 and under who are ready to serve may do so with their parent or guardian.

-
Yes, there are many opportunities to serve at the school locations, which involve lighter tasks and sitting down. You are able to make such a request on your registration.

The home site service previously on Service Day has grown to become its own program, “Jubilee in the Community” with community volunteers serving at over 100 homes throughout the year. In 2026 there will be no home site service on Service Day. Most of the schools now have outdoor tasks so we encourage those that do not want to serve in the classrooms to choose outdoor work at a school site.
Homeowners apply for help through a partnership with the City of Bellevue. Home site service takes place from April to October with our “Jubilee in the Community” program. Volunteer crews help a homeowner-in-need within our community. Projects can be yard clean up, home painting, fence building/staining & others.

Sewing Chair Pockets for classrooms, previously a Service Day Project, is now a year-round program. Our sewing team meets monthly with additional sewing time at home by some. We provide sets of completed chair pockets to classrooms as needed and other various sewing projects. We welcome new team members anytime. If you are interested in cutting fabric, serging, sewing or general organizational help email Nancy Campi at nancyc@jubileeREACH.org.
