Events and Communications Coordinator/Specialist
(Depending on experience and qualifications)
Position
This position will directly support the coordination of external and internal events for Jubilee REACH (JR) and create and publish external and internal communications to engage and inspire our supporters, community partners, and participants, deepening bonds with Jubilee REACH and our community.
Responsibilities
This role has 2 main areas of responsibilities: Events and Communications
Events:
Coordinate the planning, managing, executing, and coordinating resources of events as assigned by the Media and Communications Manager.
Work collaboratively and share responsibilities with Jubilee REACH teammates, external events management partners, volunteer teams, volunteer leadership, and other groups as assigned.
Provide support in the following areas:
Creation of event materials
Internal and external communication for events
Other duties as assigned, including working with Volunteer coordinators, Event Committees, helping manage event data, and supporting systems and technology
Communications:
Participate in exploring and developing new communication of strategies and initiatives with the Media and Communications Manager and Executive Director.
Assist with creating and implementing email campaigns through MailChimp.
Create and publish collateral materials, including brochures and flyers, to promote Jubilee REACH relational services and support per existing design criteria.
Draft, publish, and edit stories of redemption, hope, and healing for print, digital, and social media platforms as assigned.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree
1-3 years of experience in Communications, fundraising events, events productions or equivalent
Ability to foster collaboration, build teamwork, and relational trust in representing Jubilee REACH
Ability to work on multiple projects at once, prioritize, work independently, and problem solve
Availability to work evenings and weekends as needed.
Pass National and State (WSP) background check and reference check
Skills
Excellent in written and oral communications
Excellent listening skills
Excellent organization skills and ability to prioritize and meet deadlines.
Solid understanding of project management principles
Proficiency in MS Office platforms
Working knowledge of Mailchimp.
Working knowledge with cloud-based CRM and Event Management platforms (Salesforce and Greater Giving) is helpful but not required
Experience in maintaining website content production is a plus
Proven ability to support staff and participate in department activities while executing daily assigned tasks. Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Salary Range: $44,000-$60,000 a year plus benefits
