Volunteer Coordinator
Position:
We are looking for a team player to join the Jubilee REACH Volunteer Team as a full-time staff to recruit, onboard, develop, and retain volunteers who will serve within the various Jubilee REACH areas. This position will also directly support the English as a Second Language (ESL) program in assisting with administration, communication, and hospitality. Workdays for this position vary seasonally throughout the year: from October to May, working days are Four 10-hour days from Monday to Thursday, and from June to September, working days are Five 8-hour days from Monday to Friday.
Responsibilities:
Maintain a volunteer database and keep records of volunteer activities
Provide reports on volunteer activity when required and necessary
Assist in monitoring volunteer satisfaction and feedback
Assist with group, off-site and proactive recruitment events
Support the overall volunteer department in various ways, as needed
Respond to new volunteer applications and lead volunteers through the onboarding process
Interview and evaluate volunteer candidates in-person or virtually
Work with the Operations team for Jubilee REACH in the Schools to support their need for volunteers
Coordinate the placement of volunteers in a wide range of opportunities within Jubilee REACH
Provide regular communication and updates to various Jubilee REACH departments on the status of their volunteers and provision of needs
Provide a high level of care for Jubilee REACH volunteers as they serve our community
Maintain regular communication and connection with volunteers via text, email, and in-person
Maintain and grow relationships with volunteers and within the organization
Place volunteers for specific needs such as special events
Directly support the ESL (English as a Second Language) program
Assist the ESL Specialist with administration and communication
Assist with the management of ESL tracking, databases and spreadsheets
Oversee ESL Hospitality volunteers: recruiting, training, supporting
Requirements:
Strong written and oral communication skills
Strong computer literacy (Outlook, Excel, Word) and ability to learn and navigate new applications and systems (Salesforce, JotForm, Sign Up Genius)
Ability to work independently and as a team
Must be 18 years or older
