Before School Enrichment
The Jubilee REACH Center offers early morning educational support and emotional enrichment for children in grades K to 5. This free service allows low-income parents to get to their jobs in the morning and provides a safe, loving place for children. Adult volunteers affirm and support each child through activities that include arts and crafts, board games, musical instruments, reading and homework assistance. A light breakfast snack is served. Each morning concludes with ‘circle time’ where children share their talents, engage in creative learning, listen to a story, or learn how they can help other children in the world. At 8:10am adult volunteers escort the children aboard the “walking school bus” to Lake Hills Elementary, one block away. Relationships are built with the child, their parents, the school and the community.
