COMMUNITY KITCHEN
The Community Kitchen at Jubilee REACH is always moving and flowing with people and smells of ethnic food. The goal of the Community Kitchen is simple – Create community though the preparation and enjoyment of food. Food has always brought people together in every culture and is a core reason why we provide over 34,000 meals annually to the community of Bellevue.
The food provided is almost 100% donated by providers like Panera Bread, City Ministries and many others. The food is then used in Jubilee REACH programs such as Morning Jubilee, Club Jubilee, KidREACH, sports leagues, special events, International Luncheon and general hospitality throughout all we do.
Each week, members of the Jubilee REACH Center’s diverse international community alternate in the kitchen to prepare sumptuous, authentic cuisine from their home country. The International Luncheon is conveniently scheduled after Thursday morning ESL and Play and Learn Classes in the midst of the Chinese Golden Age social club. 40 to 60 adults and their children learn about their neighbors from other countries, build relationships, practice their English, and enjoy food, fun, fellowship and sharing family recipes around the world.
Every Thursday from 11:30 to 12:30pm.
