CLUB JUBILEE – After School
Club Jubilee after school program provides extracurricular and educational support to 6th – 8th grade students of the Bellevue School District. Club Jubilee was formed to fill in gaps and build bridges between the needs of our "neighbors" and the resources Bellevue has to offer.
Club Jubilee takes a holistic approach to the cultivation of the "Mind, Body and Soul." Students are welcomed into an accepting environment and provided engaging activities by caring mentors and volunteers. Communication skills, basic manners and consideration of others are taught and reinforced daily through activities such as "mentor talks", guest speakers from the community, artistic expression and homework help. Our mission is to give each child the best start to their future we can provide. The inspiration, encouragement and training offered at Club Jubilee has the potential to change the daily lives and outcomes of the children and youth we serve.
"This is an unprecedented partnership that should be repeated throughout our school district" said a school staff member from our first site. Since the creation of our programs, that is exactly what Club Jubilee has ventured to do. Currently, we serve students at Highland Middle School. However, our plan is to expand Club Jubilee support to other Middle Schools in the Bellevue School District within the year to meet the growing need presented to us by the schools. We cannot serve the Bellevue children and youth without the generosity of our volunteers and donors.
SCHEDULE
Club Jubilee - Highland Middle School
Club Jubilee is run from 3-6pm Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, Friday and from 1-6pm on Wednesdays.
Club Jubilee at Highland Middle School is a drop-in program that serves a diverse student body from 6th through 8th grade, housed in the school cafeteria and occasionally the gym, fields, and school library.
