Our call is to love our neighbor.  We provide a caring and hospitable place to build relationships and earn trust so that we may learn the real needs of people.  Ours is then to mobilize the local community of churches, businesses, organizations and individuals to turn outward, and care for their neighbor. Our mission is to break down walls and build bridges, connecting local schools, businesses, service organizations, government and the church in community to provide a hand up, not a hand out, building interdependent, sustainable and productive life paths.

In Bellevue:

• 52 languages are spoken in local schools

• 64% of students qualify for free/reduced lunch

• School children are struggling academically; 50% earning D’s and F’s

• Often working poor, single parents are unable to afford medical or dental care, before and after school care and live in poor, overcrowded conditions

• A large population of immigrant families, suffering from cultural isolation, alienation and the resulting loneliness

Our Method: 

We love, listen, and learn.

 Love means showing up, being present, investing our time, energy and attention at our own expense and sticking with it.

 Listen means intentionally focusing, with our eyes and our ears on the other person’s concerns, needs or desires, taking notes with the intention to understand, rather than react, respond quickly or judge.

 Learn means affirming and confirming all that we have heard and observed and then tailoring a thoughtful and thorough response to the ‘soul’ of what we have heard.

Jubilee REACH’s model is not to duplicate or replicate, but to integrate, advocate and collaborate with those who are already invested and working in the community. The programs at Jubilee REACH rely heavily on donor and volunteer support in collaboration with local schools, city government, churches and businesses. Heavily supported by volunteers, Jubilee REACH is able to operate through the gift of more than 4,000 hours of service a month by 1,000 faithful volunteers in 39 “need based” programs. All programs are offered at minimal or no cost to the participants.

Inspiration and Hope:

• After five years, over 1,000 volunteers and partners were able to serve 5,000 people who have walked through Jubilee REACH’s doors

• 4,200 middle schoolers are offered afterschool care and activities to enrich and engage idle youth

• Uninsured children and adults receive medical or dental care monthly

• 190 people participated and graduated from our ESL program

• 132 parents received a free computer and learned how to use it in Jubilee REACH’s computer classes

• 47 families were spared homelessness last year 34,000 meals are served a year to the community for no cost

• Through the generosity of neighbors and donors, Jubilee REACH operates on a monthly budget of only $85,000·
