Sports and Activities FAQ

  • Jubilee REACH is a nonprofit organization in Bellevue, WA. We offer many programs, however our partnership with the Bellevue School District (BSD) continues to be a prominent part of our organization. Through our partnership, we are able to offer free, recreational sports after school to students enrolled in the Bellevue School District. Jubilee REACH places a higher emphasis on teamwork and sportsmanship, rather than on the individual skill level of the student. Currently, we have Site Coaches in all 7 middle schools in the Bellevue School District, along with elementary and high schools, where we offer after school sports and activities for students.

  • Students will be emailed a link to a Microsoft Form the day that registration opens. Students who are interested in that season’s sport/activity offerings need to click the link and fill out all the necessary information. Completion of this form does not guarantee that your student will be added to the team.

  • Registration must be completed by your student. Our registration form only accepts responses from those with a BSD email address. Since only students are issued a BSD email address, the form will only be accessible to them. You may assist your student in completing the registration form by helping them search their Outlook account for an email from their Site Coach or school administrator. Once the registration email is found, have your student click the link and fill out the necessary information.

  • As a student, you should have access to the registration form. Double check and make sure you are signed into your Bellevue School District account before clicking the link. If you are still having problems, reach out to your Site Coach.

  • Jubilee REACH does not use FinalForms for any sport or activity registration. We utilize a Microsoft Form to gather registration information directly from students. This Form can only be accessed by your student. If your student is added to the team, they will be added to the sport in FinalForms. We use FinalForms for emergency information, tracking attendance, and communicating with families throughout the season so it is still important to make sure that your FinalForms information is up to date.

  • Jubilee REACH strives to offer an equitable environment for all who are interested in our activities. This begins with a fair registration process. Not all families in Bellevue have the same level of technological access. To help offer those families a fair chance of having their student participate in Jubilee REACH Sports/Activities, we open registration for 2 weeks. All students who register in those 2 weeks are given a fair chance of being on the team. This is done through a lottery system. Students not selected by the lottery will be placed on a waitlist. Any student who registers late will automatically be placed on the waitlist.

  • At Jubilee REACH we utilize a lottery system to determine who will be placed on the team and who will be placed on the waitlist. There are a few factors that play into how our lottery works, including: how often your student will be able to attend practice, if your student is already involved in an after-school club, and the number of students who registered for the activity/sport. Any student who completes their registration on time will be given the same chance of being placed on the team.

  • Reach out to the Site Coach at your school. There may still be room on the team. If there is not room on the team the Site Coach will be able to get your student placed on the waitlist. It is best to have your student either email their Site Coach or have them stop by the Jubilee office at their school during the day.

  • We encourage all students to have the following equipment for each sport. If you are having difficulty locating these items, reach out to your Site Coach for guidance or support.

Soccer: shin guards (required), tall socks (required), cleats, athletic shorts, water bottle (required)

Football: cleats, athletic shorts, water bottle (required)

Basketball: High-top shoes (although, any athletic shoes will work), athletic shorts, water bottle (required)

    Golf: Water bottle (required)

Cross-Country: Athletic shorts, water bottle (required)

  • Practice days – Yes, each school has after-school bus routes that leave after practice has finished. Check your school’s website for more information about after-school buses and for a map of the stops they service. Unless your student attends a choice school (Big Picture or International) then you are responsible to pick up your student after practices.

Game days – During away games we only offer a bus that brings students to the game and returns them to the school. No transportation is offered during home games. Students and parents are responsible for coordinating transportation home after the game for all gamedays.

  • All volunteers are required to submit an application. You can find the application HERE. All volunteers over 18 years old must submit to a state and national background check. Volunteers younger than 18 years old are required to submit to a state background check. If cleared, you will be required to submit additional paperwork to Jubilee REACH prior to the start of your volunteering.
